We had a good trip to Michigan. Santa came early for the Friday before Christmas because of John's short vacation allowance. That way we could be gone a week instead of less than that. We left at 4 a.m. on the 23rd and drove to Chicago. We spent Sunday morning at the Field Museum seeing Sue the T-Rex and the King Tut exhibit. Then we drove to Kalamazoo and went to church with John and Brenda (my in-laws). We had a good visit with them. My sister-in-law and her family came up from Indiana on Tuesday and spent the night. Melody, my 11-year-old niece stayed on when they left Wednesday. She's pretty handy to have around. She likes to play with Emily and Ethan, and she can play cards pretty well. We spent Friday night in Indiana before driving back Saturday. There wasn't a speck of snow the whole time, but the kids didn't seem to mind.
Our (John and my) Christmas was supposed to be the computer, but he got me a digital camera! Now I can post some pictures - yeah!
I hope you all had a great Christmas! Let me see if I can figure out the picture thing. The first one is of Ethan at Grandma and Grandpa's playing with the box and packing peanuts that contained his new dump truck!
P. S. Please keep my father-in-law, John, in your prayers. He's leaving tomorrow for India. He'll be gone 3 1/2 weeks.
