Here's something funny Emily said the other day.
We were in Branson and had stopped at a gas station so John could get a beverage (Mountain Dew). He came back to the car with a package of Starburst candy. He split it in two and gave half to each of the kids-then he asked, "Emily, do you know why Daddy gave you that candy?" The expected answer was, "Because you love us." But no, she says, "So we'll be quiet?"
Here is part of the conversation Ethan and I had after dropping Emily off at school this morning (9-30-08). A Volkswagon Beetle had just passed us.
Ethan: Mommy, was that a Beetle?
Me: Yes.
Ethan: Does Daddy have a Beetle?
Me: No.
(pause)
Ethan: What kind is Daddy's new car?
Me: It's a Miata.
(another pause)
Ethan: Does Grandpa have an automo-beetle?

Emily is VERY smart. Always knew she was. ;)
Cute Ethan story, too! Oh, and tell John we can't wait to see his MLC race car! Ha!
