I wrote this a couple of weeks ago and just never posted it.
Check out the work of the Typo Eradication Advancement League. That's a little extreme, correcting an historic sign at a national park. You know, I actually admire them a small bit. I usually don't have the time and/or opportunity to correct spelling or grammar mistakes made by others, but the perfectionist in me has been known to come out a time or two and do it. Maybe they'll correct the sign as they "restore" it? :-)
